JACOA (Jackson Area Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependency) is licensed by the State of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. The organization offers a range of treatment programs, including Alcohol and Drug Residential Rehabilitation for 41 clients, Intensive Outpatient Programs, and DUI School Services. Serving all counties in West Tennessee and other areas across the state, JACOA provides a complete continuum of care and is co-occurring capable (CODC).
JACOA is dedicated to helping individuals achieve and maintain recovery while providing a supportive environment.
The Care Coordinator role is a full-time, on-site position located in Jackson, TN. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising clients to ensure compliance with program rules, monitoring safety and security of the facility, documenting client behaviors and activities, and reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel. The Monitor will assist in maintaining a supportive and structured environment for clients as part of their recovery journey.
Additional responsibilities may include light clerical tasks and communicating with staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Ability to monitor, oversee, and support client compliance with established rules and guidelines
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive and respectful environment
- Basic clerical or computer skills for documentation and collaboration with the team
- Understanding of addiction recovery support and willingness to work in a substance abuse treatment environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High School Diploma or equivalent; previous experience in a related field is a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it during the onboarding process
