This 13-week travel nursing assignment places you on a Neuro/Surgical Telemetry (cardiac stepdown) floor caring for adult and geriatric populations. • Role: Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (Telemetry RN / Stepdown Nurse)
• Setting: Neuro/Surgical Telemetry (Cardiac Stepdown)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:45 – 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800–$1,890 per week
• Patient Ratio: 4–5 patients per nurse
• Weekend/Holiday: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; must be willing to work Memorial Day
• Floating: May float to other MS/Tele or ICU units (low acuity)
• Position Type: Travel Nurse / Contract RN

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a Compact State (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry or Stepdown experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS required
• Epic EMR / Epic charting experience within the last 12 months (document on submission profile)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions for COVID-19 only)
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test (men must be clean-shaven)
• Previous travel nurse experience and charge nurse experience preferred

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to neuro and cardiac telemetry patients on a busy stepdown unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response and code situations
• Administer medications, IV insulin protocols, and blood products per hospital policy
• Care for patients with spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery conditions
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, surgical drains, chest tubes, and wound VACs
• Provide advanced respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy
• Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR and maintain clear communication with providers and families
• Adhere to infection control, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols at all times
• Float to other units as needed to support patient care and unit staffing
