The Timber at Holly Branch is a boutique hotel located in Gatlinburg, TN. The Hospitality Associate & Bartender serves as a key member of the guest experience team, combining bartending responsibilities with hotel guest services. This position is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, providing exceptional hospitality to hotel guests and visitors, assisting with front desk coverage, delivering items to guest rooms, answering questions about the property and local area, and ensuring guests enjoy a welcoming and memorable stay.
Only a little previous bartending experience? We are happy to train the right candidate who enjoys working with people and delivering outstanding hospitality.
Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, evening hours
Responsibilities Guest Service & Hospitality- Create a warm, welcoming environment for hotel guests and visitors.
- Provide exceptional customer service in a hospitality environment.
- Take and enter accurate food and beverage orders; verify legal drinking age when serving alcohol.
- Prepare drinks, pour beverages, and communicate menu offerings and specials.
- Upsell food, beverage, and hotel offerings when appropriate.
- Answer guest questions regarding the hotel, amenities, local attractions, dining, and area activities.
- Accommodate special requests and respond promptly to guest needs.
- Deliver food, beverages, amenities, luggage assistance, and other requested items to guest rooms.
- Assist with greeting guests, seating, refilling beverages, and food delivery as needed.
- Support operations across all guest-facing areas of the property.
- Provide front desk coverage during designated periods.
- Welcome arriving guests and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Answer phones, respond to guest inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Assist guests with reservations, directions, property information, and service requests.
- Monitor lobby and common areas to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Communicate guest concerns, maintenance issues, and special requests to appropriate team members.
- Set up and maintain the bar, including glassware, garnishes, and chilled beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of bar and storage areas.
- Manage bar inventory and properly store perishable items.
- Clear and reset tables; assist with cleaning and preparation for service.
- Complete cash handling, closing paperwork, and opening/closing checklists.
- Follow operational procedures and ensure equipment is properly maintained and secured.
- Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and hospitable demeanor.
- Work collaboratively with hotel, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage team members.
- Attend required staff meetings, safety training, and ongoing development sessions.
- Follow all alcohol service, safety, and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
