Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager I is responsible for all aspects of multiple medium to large projects with moderate to high complexity. This individual is responsible for taking projects from original concept through completion, acting as a single point of accountability for the projects, and utilizing Parallon Project Controls and Standards to ensure projects meet their stated objectives. The Senior Project Manager I must demonstrate strong commitment to stakeholder relationships by proactively communicating and taking ownership of risks/issues and facilitating effective outcomes in a timely manner.

Moderate travel may be required, based upon job role.

Duties
  • Organize project activities into manageable work efforts for team members, and determine an effective approach to completing the work, as outlined in project plan
  • Author/facilitate strategic documents such as Project Charters, Education and Communication plans, and detailed project plans, and present project updates to business owners
  • Manage and communicate a clear project scope and motivate team members
  • Manage multiple business owner(s) and team member(s) relationships to accomplish project activities
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and cross-project dependencies
  • Monitor and report on project activities and reporting on statuses within published timelines
  • Coach team members to clarify task assignments, milestones, and deliverables
  • Identify, prepare, and/or ensure completion of high quality, professional deliverables as required by each project plan
  • Facilitate the creation of toolkits to support field-based implementations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Organization – stays focused and proactively prioritizes initiatives; determines and effectively manages tasks and resources; schedules with keen ability to multi-task
  • Project Management – takes responsibility and applies Parallon project controls to identify and communicate project scope, goals, project plan, and project progress/performance; leverages resources and makes preparations to ensure projects remain on schedule; ensures high quality
  • Gaining Commitment – uses appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans; modifies own behavior to accommodate tasks, situations, and individuals involved
  • Tactical Execution – effectively uses project controls to manage projects
  • PC / Technical Skills – proficiency or willingness to learn
  • Microsoft Office applications (including One Note, One Drive, Excel, Word, Access, Visio, Outlook and PowerPoint to include Office Timeline add-on)
  • Online collaboration tools, such as Web Ex, Web Ex Teams, online facilitation tools and/or other conference calling tools
  • Project Management tools, project scheduling tools, agile scheduling tools, including Microsoft Project, MS Planner and/or another project scheduling tool
Education
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Healthcare, hospital system, hospital, supply chain, workforce management, financial services, technical/systems experience a plus
  • Health Trust, or Parallon experience a plus
Pay Details

$50.00 to $55.77 per hour
