Application Developer – Data & Digital Solutions

Overview

The Data & Digital Innovation (D&D I) team drives data and digital excellence within the Natural Gas Pipelines business, unlocking value through governance, analytics, AI, and automation.

• Build and maintain cloud‑based solutions on AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, Glue) and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to solve pipeline business problems.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support business applications using Python, JavaScript, Type Script, SQL, DAX, and Power Query.
• Deliver data analytics and visualization solutions that translate operational data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Operations, Projects, Safety, Technical Services, Commercial, and Information Services to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to business users building low‑code solutions and support citizen development initiatives.
• Apply Dev Ops practices (CI/CD, Git, Azure Dev Ops) to enable continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
• Monitor emerging technologies and platform capabilities to continuously improve solution quality and impact.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Business Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in application or business solutions development.
• Experience building or deploying solutions on AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, SQL, DAX, or Power Query.
• Experience with prompt engineering for generative AI solutions.
• Experience developing front‑end applications using Angular.
• Strong business analytics skills and the ability to deliver insights that support business decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a distributed, multi‑site team across time zones.

• Knowledge of the midstream natural gas pipeline industry and related industrial data sources.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric for data engineering, Lakehouse architecture, or enterprise analytics.
• Experience in data engineering, including ETL/ELT processes and integration from multiple sources.
• Experience with Dev Ops tools and practices (Git, CI/CD pipelines, Azure Dev Ops).
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning workflows, generative AI, or agentic frameworks such as Copilot, Bedrock, or Agent Core.
• Experience enabling or supporting citizen development programs and practices.
• AWS or Microsoft certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, PL‑100, PL‑200, PL‑400, Fabric Analytics Engineer).
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and enterprise data management principles.
