Build the Technical Foundation for Logistics

American Bath Group is seeking a Logistics Business Freight Analyst to help transform fragmented data, disconnected systems, and manual logistics processes into reliable data products, automation, and scalable technical solutions.

This is a hands-on build-and-improve role for someone who enjoys taking an ambiguous operational problem and turning it into a practical solution—from understanding the source data and process through design, build, testing, validation, documentation, and support.

Your mandate is clear:

Own how Logistics data is sourced, modeled, automated, and maintained while building a more stable and scalable technical foundation for the organization. What You'll Own Build a Reliable Logistics Data Foundation

Map and connect data across logistics, TMS, ERP, fleet, carrier, financial, and operational systems.

You’ll help identify where critical data originates, how systems connect, where quality issues exist, and which datasets should become governed and reusable assets.

Build Data Products and Automation

Develop reliable pipelines, models, integrations, and automation that reduce repetitive work and support future analytics and operational needs.

Potential opportunities include improving workflows across:
  • Planning and dispatch
  • Reporting
  • Diagramming
  • Administrative processes
  • Logistics data preparation and integration

The goal is not simply to produce another report. It is to create solutions that can be reused, maintained, and scaled.

Make Sure Solutions Work in the Real Operation

Partner with frontline users and business stakeholders to test your work against operational reality.

You’ll validate assumptions, troubleshoot data and process issues, and make sure technical solutions work for the people who actually use them.

Create Solutions That Can Be Supported

Build documentation and controls into your work, including:

  • Source mappings
  • Data-quality checks
  • Technical documentation
  • Reusable integration patterns
  • Monitoring and validation
  • Support and recovery procedures

Success means leaving behind a solution that does not depend on one person to understand or maintain it.

Own Your Work Through Delivery

You’ll manage multiple priorities, break larger initiatives into clear phases and tasks, communicate risks and dependencies, and keep stakeholders informed on what is on track and what needs attention.

What Success Looks Like

During your first six months, you’ll be expected to make visible progress toward:

  • Mapping major logistics data sources and known quality gaps
  • Building a prioritized technical backlog tied to business needs
  • Moving priority datasets into more governed and reusable structures
  • Advancing meaningful automation into testing, adoption, or production
  • Establishing documentation, controls, and support practices
  • Delivering projects through a visible roadmap and intake process

Success will be measured by delivery, adoption, reliability, supportability, and reduction of unnecessary manual work rather than one predetermined numeric KPI.

What We're Looking For Required

Power BI and Excel are foundational requirements for this position.

Beyond the tools themselves, we’re looking for someone who can demonstrate personal ownership of technical problem-solving.

You should be able to explain work that you personally carried from an unclear data, systems, or process problem through activities such as:

We’re especially interested in candidates who:
  • Can create structure around ambiguous problems
  • Are comfortable working with fragmented or imperfect data
  • Validate technical solutions against real operational processes
  • Balance technical capability with practical business judgment
  • Document their work so others can understand and support it
  • Manage priorities and dependencies without waiting for perfectly defined requirements
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Take ownership through implementation rather than stopping at analysis
Helpful, But Not All Required

Experience with any of the following can accelerate your success:
  • SQL
  • Python
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • ETL / ELT
  • APIs
  • Notebooks
  • Lakehouse environments
  • Semantic models
  • Power Automate
  • Transportation or Fleet Management Systems
  • SAP…
