The Asst Manager/Manager Training program’s length varies. You will be fully trained within 6 months, but you may be in this role for a longer period of time, until we open another location. The program is focused on immersing a manager in training in all aspects involved in running a business, and leading a team. Training takes place in store locations.

The program trains you on the necessary principles of management including:
Creating a welcoming environment for staff and customers, Placing Orders, Hiring, Scheduling, Reporting, Coaching and leading staff members and Overseeing all other Day to Day Operations.

$15.50-$16.50/hr (rate includes average tips!) then RAISE as Manager

Career Progression

The Store Manager Training Program/Asst Manager position must complete the training to be given the opportunity to become a Store Manager. Successful completion of the program is the first step for leadership.

Note:

The SMTP Position may be continued on past the 6 month window based on the need of a Management position in our stores. You will start off learning the Barista position, as well as the Shift Leader Position. We want to make sure Store Manager candidates are well rounded in every position on the floor, and master those positions.

  • On the floor barista hours typically vary from 40-45 hours, more hours may be necessary in emergencies
  • Builds relationships with customers
  • Nurtures a 'Family' feeling among staff members
  • Provides coaching and direction for the team
  • Sets goals for the barista team
  • Ensures exceptional customer service, with a customer comes first attitude
  • Ability to solve problems independently during high volume times
  • Engages baristas in meeting performance indicators
  • Develops team members leadership skills
  • Welcome questions and seek opportunities to educate on our products
  • Suggestively sell gift cards, complementary/additional products, and merchandise
  • Manage cash drawer, following established cash handling procedures
  • Serve all customer orders according to recipe and aesthetic guidelines
  • Deliver products within established speed of service guidelines and identify drink upon delivery
  • Operate and maintain cleanliness of all store equipment
  • Optimize workflow efficiency by restocking workstations, food, supplies, and merchandise
  • Maintain cleanliness of coworker and customer areas
  • Demonstrate genuine appreciation to each customer
