Position: Group VP of Operations (Central)

Hybrid role covering multiple states. Ideal candidate is based in KY, TN, or IN

Group Vice President, Operations

Lead the transformation of the nation's largest network of opioid addiction treatment centers.

Behavioral Health Group (BHG) is on a mission to become the premier provider of evidence-based addiction treatment in the United States. Backed by private equity and serving more than 42,000 patients across 110+ treatment centers in 22 states, we are investing in our people, our operations, and our future.

We're building an executive team capable of redefining operational excellence in behavioral healthcare. As Group Vice President of Operations, you'll play a critical role in that transformation.

This is far more than a regional operations position.

You’ll serve as the senior executive responsible for approximately one-third of BHG’s treatment center network, leading multiple markets, developing exceptional operational leaders, and driving meaningful improvements in patient access, clinical quality, financial performance, and employee engagement.

If you’re energized by building high-performing organizations, leading transformational change, and making a measurable impact on thousands of lives, we’d love to talk.

What You’ll Lead

As the Group VP for your assigned region, you’ll have full operational responsibility for a large portfolio of treatment centers, including oversight of:

  • Multi-site operations
  • Financial performance and P&L
  • Patient growth and access
  • Clinical and regulatory excellence
  • Revenue cycle performance
  • Workforce planning and labor optimization
  • Leadership development and succession planning
  • Patient experience and outcomes

You’ll lead and coach a team of Market Directors while partnering closely with Program Directors and executive leadership to ensure every market delivers exceptional results.

What Success Looks Like

Success isn’t measured simply by maintaining operations. It’s measured by building stronger organizations.

In This Role, You Will
  • Develop exceptional Market Directors through coaching, accountability, and leadership development
  • Increase patient access and treatment center growth
  • Improve operational consistency across multiple markets
  • Drive financial performance while never compromising patient care
  • Use operational analytics and performance insights to identify opportunities and remove barriers
  • Simplify complex processes and standardize best practices
  • Improve workforce engagement, retention, and leadership bench strength
  • Build markets known for operational excellence and outstanding patient outcomes
Who You Are

You’re an experienced multi-site healthcare executive who enjoys solving complex operational challenges.

You’re equally comfortable discussing EBITDA, patient outcomes, staffing strategy, and leadership development because you understand they’re all connected.

You lead with humility, accountability, and data while building trust with your teams.

Most importantly, you believe that great operations create better patient outcomes.

What You Bring

We’re looking for an executive with:

  • 5+ years leading complex, multi-site healthcare operations
  • Significant responsibility for P&L performance
  • Experience leading large geographic regions through transformational change
  • Success developing senior operational leaders and succession pipelines
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into action
  • Experience improving operational performance across quality, workforce, patient access, and financial metrics
  • A collaborative leadership style that balances accountability with coaching and development

Experience leading physician practices, ambulatory care, behavioral health, dialysis, infusion, urgent care, surgery centers, specialty healthcare, or other decentralized healthcare operations is highly valued.

Why BHG?

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of one of the nation’s largest behavioral healthcare organizations.

You’ll join an executive team committed to transforming addiction treatment through operational excellence, clinical quality, innovation, and compassionate care.

Every operational improvement you lead expands access to life-saving treatment for patients and families who need it most.

If you’re looking for an executive role where your leadership will leave a lasting impact, we invite you to join us.

BHG is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer providing equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status, or any other legally protected basis, in accordance with applicable law.
