Responsibilities
Perform all operations needed to assemble and pack B‑165 and B‑166 series mirrors.
Follow verbal instructions in English and work in a team‑oriented, continuously improving environment where safety is the #1 priority.
Recognize and report defective parts.
Replenish station supplies and alert the lead/material handler when in need of glass, cages, or crates.
Follow all safety rules and regulations and Employee Relations policies.
Perform quality checks during the assembly process and report defects on a multi‑use form; ensure finished products meet blueprint specifications.
Meet the team efficiency goal of 95‑105% using hand tools, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
Follow flow manufacturing principles, minimize non‑value added activities, and maintain housekeeping parameters.
Assist department colleagues and handle mirrors with care.
Submit at least one suggestion for departmental improvement every six months.
Perform any other duties assigned by the lead or supervisor.
Assemble and pack B‑165 and B‑166 series mirrors:
- Prepare a crate for branch orders or pallet for customer orders.
- Prepare a carton for loading, leaving it open for the next mirror.
- Set frame on assembly station and add glue if needed.
- Place a back into the frame.
- Clean glass, lift, and place it in the frame.
- Put foam between back and glass.
- Sandwich glass, foam, and back into frame; bend and lightly tap with mallet to shape the frame.
- Insert screw onto top of frame; file rough edge on closing corner.
- Attach hangers; mark box with appropriate labels.
- Conduct a final inspection per instructions.
- Lift and seal mirrors into carton.
- Lift box onto mirror pallet or into mirror crate; move pallet with pallet jack.
Schedule of Operations:
Monday – Friday, 6:00 pm – 2:30 am.
Salary: $18.40 per hour.
