Location:
On-site in Jackson, TN or Oakfield, TN
Schedule:
Second shift, Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Leader to manage second‑shift operations in a fast‑moving plant environment. This is a strong opportunity for a floor leader who enjoys building team performance, improving daily output, and creating a safe, accountable culture. The right person will step into a visible role with direct impact on safety, productivity, quality, and employee development, while partnering closely with plant leadership to keep operations running smoothly.

- Use daily production metrics to spot gaps, remove waste, and improve line performance
- Partner with maintenance and quality teams to reduce downtime and keep product standards consistent
- Coach hourly employees on safe work practices, standard procedures, and day‑to‑day execution
- Review staffing, assignments, and handoffs so the shift starts strong and ends cleanly
- Keep time, attendance, and production records organized and up to date
- Support basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments when issues affect output
- Help build a team culture centered on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- At least 2 years of related leadership or team lead experience is preferred
- Completion of a high school education or equivalent is necessary.
- Associate degree or technical training is preferred
- Familiarity with manufacturing performance metrics, workplace safety protocols, and product quality requirements.
- Ability to lead teams, address performance issues, and reinforce workplace expectations
- Comfortable working cross‑functionally with maintenance, quality, and operations partners
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort in a hands‑on production setting are helpful
- On‑site manufacturing environment
- Moderate to high noise environment with required PPE
- Role may involve standing, walking, and occasional lifting in support of plant operations
