Machinist A (Tooling Shop)
Reports to Manufacturing Manager | Non-exempt
Summary:
Sets up, programs, and operates CNC machines to produce precision parts to blueprint specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- CNC setup, programming, and operation with high accuracy
- Maintain tolerances, quality standards, and production schedules
- Perform inspections and first-piece validation
- Read blueprints and use measuring instruments
- Maintain machines, safety, and housekeeping
- Support training and work collaboratively across teams
Skills:
- CNC programming and machining
- Blueprint reading and precision measurement
- Problem-solving and teamwork
Requirements:
- High school or trade training
- 2–3 years CNC experience
Work
Conditions:
- Shop environment (loud)
- Physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs
