We are working with a leading specialty chemicals manufacturer seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead the operations of a key production facility. Reporting directly to the VP of Global Operations, this role will be responsible for ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently, and in line with production, quality, and financial objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on operational leader to drive continuous improvement, develop high‑performing teams, and play a critical role in the ongoing success and growth of the business.

The successful candidate will have full responsibility for plant performance across manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, safety, quality, and operational excellence. Working closely with site leadership and cross‑functional teams, they will drive productivity improvements, optimise plant efficiency, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

The role will involve leading and developing plant teams, overseeing maintenance activities to maximise asset reliability, implementing operational improvements, analysing performance data to identify opportunities for efficiency gains, and supporting future site improvement and expansion projects.

Candidate Profile
  • Proven Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or senior manufacturing leadership experience within chemical processing, specialty chemicals, or a similar industrial manufacturing environment
  • Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, plant operations, and industry regulations
  • Demonstrated experience managing operational budgets, production targets, and site performance metrics
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and develop high‑performing teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • MBA or advanced business qualification would be advantageous
