Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Production QC/QA
Job Description
Essential Jobs and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Report to front line leadership.
- Work as a team member to obtain plant & departmental goals.
- Perform & record PM’s, cleans and lubricates printers.
- Modify, repair, and rebuild printing machinery and equipment.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair.
- Visually inspect and solve problem machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
- Document repairs and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
- Familiarity with operation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot using diagrams.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform all activities safely, including the use of LOTO as required by company policy.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment prior to use.
- Within the confines of the job, ensure the safe operation of all equipment prior to turning it back over to manufacturing.
- Document new/altered equipment safety checks or other change control documentation, as required.
- Uphold safety & quality absolutes.
- Work and perform to ISO standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
3:30am – 2:30pm Monday - Thursday.
Climate Controlled Environment.
Contribution to Safety, Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP):
Maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace by ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Conduct required safety reviews of equipment and processes prior to project start‑up.
Support the accomplishment of your work group through the quality, timeliness and professionalism of your attitude.
Supply accurate and timely data as required by performance tracking and reporting.
Apply resources in a manner that maximizes their effectiveness while assuring quality.
Maintain a work environment that will contribute to the assurance of safety and GMP compliance.
Adhere to established procedures, perform self‑checking and pay attention to detail in the performance of you and your team’s work.
Notify management in a timely manner of any problems with procedural compliance.
Report observed quality problems and deficiencies in a timely manner.
Make recommendations to management for improving the quality and efficiency of your work.
Oversee work to ensure projects are completed.
- Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
- Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Capable of lifting up to 35lbs.
- Capable of complying with all safety requirements including the use of PPE:
Bump Cap or Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask. - Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working required overtime.
- High School Graduate or equivalent with 2+ years manufacturing, technical school /or Associates degree from an accredited technical institute preferred.
- Must have 1-4 years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or equivalent.
- Must possess strong troubleshooting & mechanical skill sets.
- Negative drug screen results.
