Responsible for loading and unloading trailers for deliveries and shipments and for operation of material handling equipment for the purpose of safe and accurate shipping, processing and receiving raw materials. The incumbent is responsible for tasks such as, but not limited to unloading, scanning, moving, staging, loading, locating, picking, relocating, and stacking materials or finished products. The incumbent documents and records various information such as quantity, location, and condition of materials or finished and raw materials.

- Work in a safe and effective manner.
- Follow all safety and environmental procedures.
- Attend monthly safety meetings.
- Perform safety observations.
- Report all Near Misses and incidents.
- No recordables.
Safe operation of dock locks, levelers, barriers and forklifts.
- Safely operate dock locks, levelers and barriers
- Perform weekly inspections of dock locks, levelers and barriers
- Perform daily forklift inspections
- Properly operate the forklift in a safe manner to avoid injury or damage to property
Unloading of raw materials, adding labels and placing in the proper row in the warehouse. Labeling and loading of finished goods for shipments to the warehouse and to customers. Load recycled materials onto trailers. Perform inventory counts as needed or as requested.
- Safely unload raw materials without damage to packaging or the trailer
- Stage and label raw materials with bar-code labels
- Move materials to the proper location in the warehouse
- Pull and stage finished goods to be shipped to the warehouse or to be labeled and shipped to customers. Safely load the material onto trailers without damage to packaging or the trailer.
- Pull and stage raw materials as needed to ship to other plants
- Load scrap cardboard onto trailer
- Load scrap plastic and dust loads as needed.
- Load used pallets onto pallet trailer as needed
- Perform inventory counts as requested
Maintain proper housekeeping at the Receiving and Shipping areas. Empty cardboard baler as needed.
- Sweep and pick up any trash, pellets and debris as necessary throughout the day
- Run the floor sweeper daily or more if needed.
- Empty the cardboard baler as needed and load onto cardboard trailer.
- Inspect outside dock areas daily and clean up any pellets from the ground
Education:
High School or equivalent
Skills:
Forklift operation. Good writing and communication skills.
Safety:
The incumbent participates in the Lyondell Basell commitment to the HSE policy and ISO
14001 through an awareness of and adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental programs, together with management of environmental aspects of plant performance and all HSE aspects of departmental performance. The incumbent uses safe work practices, participates in safety meetings and advises his/her supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
