Essential Jobs and Responsibilities
  • Report to front line leadership of Lead Technician. Work as a team member to achieve plant and departmental goals.
  • Maintain all plant equipment and facilities focusing on production, quality, scrap reduction, housekeeping, and safety on the shift.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs), clean and lubricate molding machines and equipment.
  • Modify, repair, and rebuild plant machinery and equipment.
  • Perform mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
  • Visually inspect and troubleshoot machines to locate malfunctions; measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or improper operation.
  • Document repairs and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required.
Potential duties
  • Fabrication and installation of related trades; building maintenance and general facility repairs.
  • Installation of new equipment or relocation of equipment.
  • Understand functionality of relays, motor contractors, motor starters, solid-state relays, soft starts, and variable frequency drives.
  • Familiarity with operation and troubleshooting of PLC programming; read and interpret schematic diagrams and equipment manuals/work orders.
  • Experience in electrical distribution and machine controls (24 to 480 volts AC/DC).
  • Follow safety practices including LOTO; conduct safety inspections prior to use; ensure safe operation of equipment before returning to manufacturing.
  • Document safety checks and change control documentation as required.
  • Uphold safety and quality absolutes; work to ISO standards.
Qualifications
  • Student of JSCC AMT COOP Program or equivalent.
  • Capable of physical mobility (sitting, bending, twisting, standing, lifting up to 35 lbs).
  • Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English; strong troubleshooting and mechanical skill sets.
  • Capable of complying with all safety requirements including PPE usage.
  • High school graduate or equivalent with 2+ years manufacturing/technical education; associate degree preferred.
  • 1-4 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or equivalent.
  • Proficient with Office 365; experience with JDE; negative drug screen results.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and GMP; maintain a clean, safe workplace; support performance tracking and timely data reporting.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
