Woodworker Position Overview
A Woodworker performs a wide variety of fabrication tasks centered around building cabinetry.
Essential Functions- Performs basic wood working or rough carpentry work on small or large boats.
- Frequently uses staples and staple guns in the assembly of rough wood structures to be covered with other materials such as fiberglass or upholstery.
- Includes mill assembly and lamination woodworking positions.
- Must be willing to learn all aspects of the woodshop including running CNC routers, cabinet building, and assembly builds.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in basic or rough carpentry.
- Ability to read and understand production schedules and blueprints.
- Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment, using protective clothing and respirator if needed.
- Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manual.
- Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal.
- Working knowledge of procedures, instructions, and documents as it relates to the quality system.
- Must always possess the desire and ambition to work safely and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately.
- Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
- Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing, etc., with or without reasonable accommodation.
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $23.18 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or short-term incentive program. This position is also eligible for an award target as part of Brunswick’s long-term incentive program.
