Essential Job Responsibilities
I. General
Summary:
Support the manufacturing areas with plant focus on minimizing downtime, increasing productivity and maintain the overall Toyota Production System as well as company policies/procedures. Program/ set up/ operate CNC machines to improve dies, fixtures, weld cells and equipment preventative maintenance.
- Support tool room activities on all production equipment, facilities.
- Make components for the repairs and improvements on stamping dies, fixtures, weld cells, swage machines.
- Set up, program, & run CNC and manual machines in the tool room to produce the needed components.
- Use Master Cam, Solid Works, AutoCAD daily to draw, modify, and program the needed components.
- Machine uptime/downtime management.
- Heat treat new details to the required specs on the new details.
- Troubleshoot parts when issues occur.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
- Document completion of all required processes in Asset Essentials system.
- Working with tooling die repair tech to ensure new details are installed properly.
- Reading technical drawings / blueprints.
- Using measuring tools and gauges.
- Work with the Engineering department to improve processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Machinist 1 certificate/diploma or equivalent required.
- Tool and Die certificate/diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2-5 years tooling, machining experience required.
- 2-5 years experience with CAD, CNC programming required.
- Experience drawing & programming with Master Cam preferred.
- CNC, machine shop, and Kaizen experience preferred.
- Stamping die repair experience a plus.
- Welding and fabrication a plus.
- Experience using an overhead crane a plus.
- Self-starter with strong work ethic.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Flexibility in a changing working environment.
- Mandatory overtime flexibility.
- Both written and verbal.
- Basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Master Cam, Solid Works, AutoCAD or other programming software.

Automotive manufacturing plant
Travel: 0‑10%
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing and is occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
