We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing facility and drive operational excellence across all areas of the business. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while developing strong teams and supporting long-term business growth. You'll work closely with multiple departments to improve performance, implement best practices, and create a culture focused on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved.
- Lead initiatives that improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency using Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Develop, mentor, and inspire teams across production, engineering, maintenance, and quality functions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve plant performance, and increase profitability.
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align operational activities with wider business objectives.
- Drive performance through clear objectives, coaching, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- At least five years' experience leading teams within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Demonstrated success in managing people, developing talent, and creating high-performing teams.
- Strong background in improving operational performance, implementing process improvements, and delivering measurable business results.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to influence across multiple departments.
- Previous experience within the automotive manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit and loss responsibility.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks.
