Position Summary

The Development & Grants Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the mission and long-term sustainability of HOPE Family Health through strategic grant development, fundraising support, donor engagement, community partnerships, and organizational storytelling. Working closely with executive leadership, this position helps strengthen organizational visibility, diversify funding opportunities, and cultivate relationships that expand HOPE’s impact across the communities it serves.

This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting all phases of the grant development process, including researching, writing, editing, submitting, tracking, and reporting on Federal, State, local, and private foundation grant opportunities. The Development & Grants Coordinator must possess strong writing, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple grant timelines, collaborate across departments, and communicate complex organizational and programmatic information clearly and effectively.

In addition to grant coordination, this position supports fundraising and donor stewardship activities, community engagement initiatives, sponsorship development, and strategic communications efforts that strengthen philanthropic support and community partnerships for HOPE Family Health. The Development & Grants Coordinator serves as a relationship-builder and storyteller who helps connect HOPE’s mission, patient impact, and strategic priorities to funders, donors, community organizations, and the public.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Research, identify, and coordinate Federal, State, local, and private foundation grant opportunities aligned with HOPE Family Health’s mission, strategic priorities, and organizational needs.
  • Coordinate all phases of the grant development process, including proposal writing, editing, budgeting collaboration, submission, tracking, and required reporting.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, finance, clinical leadership, operations, and program staff to gather data, narratives, outcomes, and supporting documentation for grant applications and reports.
  • Maintain and manage a grants calendar to ensure timely submission of proposals, reports, renewals, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in tracking grant outcomes, deliverables, reporting deadlines, and funding utilization to support organizational accountability and sustainability.
  • Maintain organizational grant files, templates, funder records, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage an organizational grant pipeline that tracks Federal, State, local, and foundation funding opportunities from identification through submission, award management, and reporting.
  • Support fundraising initiatives that strengthen philanthropic giving and diversify organizational revenue streams.
  • Assist with donor stewardship activities including donor communication, acknowledgments, sponsorship coordination, and relationship cultivation.
  • Support annual giving campaigns, special fundraising initiatives, and community sponsorship opportunities.
  • Assist in developing materials and storytelling content that communicate HOPE’s mission, impact, and community needs to donors and supporters.
  • Help strengthen and promote the HOPE Assistance Fund and other charitable giving initiatives.
  • Support development efforts related to future organizational growth, capital projects, strategic expansion initiatives, and community investment opportunities.
  • Community Relations & Partnerships
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners, foundations, civic organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders throughout HOPE’s service region.
    • Coordinate and participate in outreach events, speaking engagements, community meetings, and partnership opportunities that strengthen HOPE’s visibility and mission awareness.
    • Represent HOPE professionally at community events and engagement opportunities as assigned.
    • Assist in cultivating strategic partnerships that support organizational growth, patient access, and community impact.
