Potential Annual Salary: $35,000- $40,000Child Evangelism Fellowship® is seeking a passionate and Christ-centered Ministry Coordinator to help lead and grow children’s ministry programs throughout the chapter. This ministry leadership position is responsible for coordinating evangelism and discipleship efforts, developing volunteers, supporting church partnerships, organizing ministry programs, and helping expand the reach of CEF throughout the local community.
The Ministry Coordinator works closely with the Local Director, churches, schools, volunteers, ministry leaders, and community partners to implement effective children’s ministry programs, recruit and train volunteers, support Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™), and strengthen relationships that advance the mission of Child Evangelism Fellowship.
This position is ideal for individuals with experience in children’s ministry, volunteer coordination, church ministry, leadership development, community outreach, event planning, and nonprofit ministry operations.
Qualifications- Be a born-again believer with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a calling to children’s ministry.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities consistent with the biblical standards found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
- Possess a strong knowledge of Scripture and the ability to communicate biblical truth effectively.
- Demonstrate spiritual maturity and a commitment to prayer.
- Have a passion for evangelizing and discipling children and families.
- Demonstrate effective communication, leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Value partnerships with local churches and Christian organizations.
- Have the ability to recruit, mentor, organize, and develop volunteers and ministry leaders.
- Be able to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Lead by example in supporting and strengthening an effective local prayer ministry.
- Assist the Local Director in developing relationships with churches, pastors, Christian schools, and ministry partners.
- Support the mission of CEF to evangelize, disciple, and establish children in local churches.
- Participate in direct ministry with children through Good News Club®, 5-Day Club®,
Christmas Party Club® and other CEF outreach opportunities. - Evaluate ministry effectiveness and recommend improvements to strengthen outreach efforts.
- Identify, encourage, and mentor potential Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™) participants and leaders.
- Serve as a liaison between CEF and local churches.
- Promote Ministry Opportunities throughout the community and assist with outreach initiatives.
- Recruit, train, equip, and encourage volunteers for children’s ministry programs.
- Plan and conduct volunteer orientations and ministry training events.
- Support volunteers through coaching, encouragement, and ongoing leadership development.
- Assist in identifying and developing future ministry leaders.
- Encourage excellence in ministry delivery and adherence to CEF standards.
- Help build a positive, Christ-centered volunteer culture throughout the chapter.
- Collaborate with the Local Director in implementing ministry vision and strategic goals.
- Assist in the development and execution of plans to reach children with the Gospel.
- Lead ministry teams and volunteers in accomplishing chapter objectives.
- Model servant leadership and Christian character.
- Participate in fundraising and ministry partnership efforts as requested.
- Develop leadership skills among volunteers, summer missionaries, and ministry workers.
- Help organize and evaluate ministry training events and outreach programs.
- Ensure compliance with all CEF policies, procedures, and child protection requirements.
- Maintain accurate ministry, volunteer, and event records.
- Work with office staff to ensure volunteer applications, interviews, reference checks, Statements of Faith, and Child Protection Policy requirements are completed accurately and on time.
