Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse
Works under the direction of the Health Administrator. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for sick call triage
- Responsible for medical care in accordance with institutional procedure
- Account for all controlled drugs and other medication, according to policy
- Conduct medication rounds
- Assist dentist when necessary
- Fill out laboratory request forms and collect specimens accordingly
- Complete other such duties as the Health Administrator or Supervising RN assigns, as needed
- Has completed an approved practical nursing program in Tennessee or a comparable out‑of‑state program
- Has and maintains good moral character as determined by an investigation conducted by the agency, and passes all mental and health evaluations and background screenings
- Has not been convicted, pled guilty, or entered a plea of nolo contendere to any felony charge
