Medical Records Position Summary

As Medical Records at Maplewood Health Care, you'll be an essential part of our residents' care.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain and organize resident medical records in both electronic and paper formats.

• Ensure medical records are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

• Process admissions, discharges, and record requests.

• File physician orders, reports, and other clinical documentation promptly.

• Assist with audits, surveys, and record reviews.

• Protect resident confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, admissions, and administrative staff to ensure timely documentation.

• Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.

• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.

Medical Records

Requirements

• Previous experience in medical records, health information management, or healthcare administration preferred

• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience is a plus

• Current unrestricted LPN License for the state of Tennessee

• Current CPR/BLS Certification
