Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant; Tier III - Inpatient Solid Tumor​/Neuro-Oncology

Works collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Provides care for patients both in the outpatient clinic and the inpatient setting and addresses both acute and chronic issues in managing disease and treatment-related complications. Collects, documents and analyzes patient data; collaborates in the development and implementation of treatment plans; coordinates patient care with ancillary clinical services; makes appropriate referrals to consulting medical staff;

provides follow up to referring physicians; may orient or precept students and new staff. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the institution.

This is an inpatient position within our Solid Tumor/Neuro-Oncology service.

Work Hours:

12-hour shifts. Tier III Advanced Practitioners work a combination of days and nights or straight nights, including weekdays, weekends, and holiday. Advanced Practitioners on Tier III are expected to work a balance of weekends and holidays according to scheduling guidelines.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have passed the certification exam for either Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. For Nurse Practitioner, preference is given to candidates who possess their Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification.
