Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification and recent Epic experience.

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS (AHA only), and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Epic experience within the last 12-18 months required and must be clearly documented on profile
• Must pass Epic competency exam with only one attempt allowed
• Two supervisory references required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred

• Busy Med Surg/Tele unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts,
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float to other MS/Tele units or low acuity ICU
• Uses Epic charting system
• Provide nursing care on a fast-paced Med Surg/Tele floor including telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, respiratory management, and wound care
• Skills such as cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and central/peripheral line care are utilized
• Floating expected as part of standard assignment requirements
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• All RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration, with no additional time off approved after that point
• Candidates requiring respirator fit testing must be clean-shaven
• No block scheduling or special schedule accommodations available
• Return travelers must disclose prior assignment history for staffing approval
