Travel RN - Telemetry - Stepdown

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown Neuro RN with MS/Tele experience and a TN or compact RN license for a 13-week assignment.

• Active Tennessee or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience required
• Epic experience within the last 18 months required
• Travel experience preferred

• Neuro/Surgical Telemetry stepdown unit
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from
• Weekend requirement of 3 shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holiday availability required
• No on-call requirements
• Must be willing to float to other MS/Tele units or low acuity ICU as needed
• Provide care for neuro and surgical telemetry patients including CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, and traumatic brain injury cases
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
• Experience with central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management preferred
• Local candidates and first-time travelers accepted at the same bill rate
• Candidates requiring fit testing must be clean-shaven
