Quality Tech II

General Description Of Position

Accomplish Quality Assurance objectives by auditing processes, conducting product analysis, and documenting results.

• Communicate audit findings and opportunities for improvement to Manufacturing and Quality.
• Perform product and process audit inspection and first piece inspection layouts.
• Conduct data mining and data analysis.
• Calibrate gauges and use necessary inspection equipment and gauging for machined components.
• Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests & exploring opportunities to add value to processes.
• Work well with others; be a team player.
• Understand and follow the Jackson site’s environmental policy and the environmental impacts associated with their work activities.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications and standards.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work well in fast-paced situations.
• Mobile and able to walk around the plant.
• Ability to work safely and use required PPE.
• Familiarity with GD&T is a plus.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College Algebra strongly preferred (or ability to demonstrate good math skills).
• 2+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector, Quality Auditor, Quality Technician, and/or Machinist.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
