We are hiring a
Quality Inspector for our Jackson, TN location.
MAT Industries Inc., a proud member of MAT Holdings Inc., is a leading manufacturer of air compressors and air brake tanks in the Jackson community at 213 Industrial Dr., Jackson, TN 38301. World‑class domestic manufacturing facilities allow MAT Industries to offer high‑quality air compressors, air tools, and accessories to retailers under brands such as Powermate®, Industrial Air®, Industrial Air Contractor®, and Sanborn® as well as private labels.
Our air compressors are sold through retailers, including major home centers, hardware co‑ops, independents, and farm and fleet stores around the US.

Work in all areas of manufacturing to ensure product meets the design intent and customer’s expectations. Report any issues that do not meet these standards and assist in corrective and preventive action measures when issues are found. Also assist in calibration and receiving inspection.

Additional InformationESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintaining and following a Quality Audit program in the facility’s fabrication, assembly, and weld areas.
- Communicating and reporting audit results.
- Assisting in problem‑solving to implement corrective actions when issues are found.
- Audit the corrective actions to ensure they are maintained.
- Ensure AMSE, UL, and MAT procedures are maintained.
- Assist with calibration of testing equipment.
- Assist in receiving inspection.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma
- 2‑year technical degree a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Layout inspection, inspection equipment, and CMM experience
- Experience in Six Sigma and lean manufacturing a plus
