Freezer​/Cooler​/Deli

Position Summary

Sam’s Club #6507 located at 2120 Emporium Dr, Jackson, TN offers two open positions for a freezer, cooler, and deli stocker. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $25.00 per hour.

As a frontline associate, you will keep shelves stocked, maintain sanitary conditions for freezers and coolers, and provide customer service in the deli department. You will play an important role in the operations and sanitary conditions that keep products ready for our members.

Maintains safety of facility by following all safety standards, procedures and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations to management.
Maintains the sales floor and merchandise presentation in the freezer, cooler, deli area in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, receiving and stocking merchandise, setting up cleaning and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, completing required audits, paperwork logs, and other required documentation, and securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise.
Provides member service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs, locating merchandise and assisting with purchasing decisions, providing deli products, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services.
Follows company policies related to the freezer/cooler area by complying with food handling policies, operating, repairing and sanitizing equipment, following cold‑chain procedures when stocking merchandise, cleaning freezer, cooler, deli area (e.g., windows, mirrors, display cases, and coolers), monitoring freezer/cooler fans, drains, and doors for proper operation, and reporting issues to management.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.

* The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
