Outside Sales Representative

Role Overview

Outside Sales Representative responsible for achieving sales and profit objectives in assigned territory/industry. Works closely with the Sales Manager to establish sales targets and maximize revenue.

• Generate and develop new business to meet specified production goals.
• Maintain and nurture existing client relationships.
• Respond to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare and present sales proposals.
• Plan and manage sales territory.
• Understand and communicate information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing clients.
• Work closely with branch inside sales and management team for alignment.
• Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of industry product information.
• Continuously gather information on local competition and prevailing industry and business climate within the region; communicate information to management and others as needed.
• Negotiate contracts and work agreements.
• Ensure all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
• Provide timely and accurate reports as required.
• Attend and participate in business/trade events that impact the business unit.
• Attend and participate in team strategic sales meetings.
• Perform additional duties as required and assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 5+ years of outside sales experience in the same or similar industry preferred.
• Computer literate; proficient with MS Office 365.
• Experience with distribution-specific ERP systems, preferably Eclipse.
• Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal).
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
• Detail-oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
• Physical requirements:
  
  sitting, standing, walking, lift to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling, enduring frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
