Stones River Electric is looking for candidates for our EMS and Special Projects Team! We are a growing company that wants electricians to grow with us!

The role of an Energy Management Systems (EMS) Installer/Electrician combines electrical expertise with IT skills to install sensors, controllers, and wiring, troubleshoot software/hardware, and ensure compliance with energy codes and safety regulations.

• Installation & Configuration:
  Installing control panels, field controllers, sensors, actuators, and wiring for Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Programming & Optimization:
  Setting up application programming, developing graphic interfaces, and optimizing HVAC and lighting schedules.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
  Diagnosing and repairing electrical, pneumatic, and electronic control systems.
• System Integration:
  Integrating HVAC, lighting, and power monitoring systems.
• Safety Compliance:
  Ensuring all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA, and local regulations.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training in electrical systems or HVAC.
• Certification:
  Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification in energy management.
• Technical Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of electrical schematics, low‑voltage control systems & low voltage termination CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6, and HVAC systems.
• IT
  
  Skills:
  
  Familiarity with IP networking and software‑based control systems.
• Tools:
  Proficient in using testing devices (voltmeters, ammeters) and hand tools.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the electrical field.
• Knowledgeable in National Electrical Codes (N.E.C. code book theory).
• Knowledgeable of Energy Management Systems.
• Knowledge of lighting controls.
• Knowledge of conduit bending.
• Knowledge of blueprint/online diagrams.
• Must have computer/iPad operation skills (Excel and Word).
• Must be able to travel (1-2 weeks at a time).
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean record.
• Must be drug free - we are a drug free workplace.

• Minimum of 2-year experience in electrical field.
• Knowledge of conduit bending a plus.
• Must be able to travel.

• Working in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
• Often involves working on ladders, in crawl spaces, or in mechanical rooms.
• Requires knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document work.
