Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary

Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician – local retail store – responsible for supporting and overseeing repair of Walmart refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.

• Maintain and repair refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Use hand, digital, power tools and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Utilize work order management system to receive and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 lbs, work on ladders, and work frequently at heights.

• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification.
• 2 years of experience in commercial HVAC/R maintenance or related field.
• Type I/Type II EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 18 years or older.

• 4 years of experience in commercial HVAC/R maintenance.
• Completion of a 2‑year technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the state where job is located.

• Hourly wage range: $23.00 – $45.00 (actual rate may exceed minimum wage).
