Jackson Plumbing - Warehouse Associate

Compensation Details: $15 - $17 per hour

Jackson Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is now an Ace Hardware Home Services company, providing professional plumbing, heating and cooling services to homes in Decatur and surrounding areas. Our certified team ensures the repair, installation, and maintenance of customers’ plumbing and HVAC systems, prioritizing customer satisfaction.

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate warehouse inventory, ordering materials as needed, overseeing vehicle maintenance, and preparing materials for field personnel.

• Coordinate with the installation manager and sales team to prepare materials for jobs.
• Order material and maintain adequate stock in the warehouse and on trucks.
• Deliver parts to technicians out in the field.
• Accurately perform physical inventory monthly.
• Ensure all materials and equipment for jobs are ordered and in the warehouse prior to the job installation date.
• Pull jobs for the required dates and assist field personnel with loading and departures each morning.
• Transfer items from warehouse to truck or job site.
• Maintain regular maintenance on vehicles to ensure safety.
• Receive purchase orders, negotiate pricing, and communicate with suppliers.
• Check product in from suppliers.
• Manage dumpster, recycling, and scraping of waste materials.
• Supervise parts runners’ schedules to use time efficiently.
• Manage the return and warranty processes.
• Pull filters for maintenance.
• Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of warehouse inventory experience (preferred).
• Proficient computer use.
• Experience with Service Titan (a plus).
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• 3 years of clean driving experience.
• Ability to pass drug screen and background check.

• Use standard office equipment: telephone, computer, files, copier.
• Operate hand and power‑driven tools and equipment.
• Lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds regular; occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, and reach in all directions.
• Maintain balance on the ground and using ladders, scaffolds, and lifts.
• Climb stairs and ladders and work in high, precarious places.
• Sit and/or stand for extended periods.
• Work outside; tolerate heat and cold.
• See and read with or without vision aids.
• Hear and speak to exchange information.
• Perform maintenance duties and read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
