Overview
Thompson, founded in 1886, offers prevention, mental health services, and foster care across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. All programs are trauma‑informed and evidence‑based, designed to build resilience in clients (ages 0‑18) and their families, both virtually and in person.
Responsibilities- Recruit, train, and license foster parents.
- Provide pre‑service training and assess and evaluate potential foster parents according to state and agency policy.
- Guide parents through the licensing process and submit all required documentation.
- Maintain compliance of training, provide quarterly supervision and assessment, keep audit‑ready files.
- Collaborate with the foster care coordinator to support placement of children in homes.
- Conduct public speaking and marketing to recruit families.
- Assist in locating placements, respond to client inquiries, and meet with foster parents—as needed, including evenings and weekends.
- Starting pay: $42‑$45 k annually.

- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Valid driver’s license and meet all credentialing, licensing and privileging standards for the program(s) served.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Pass a drug screening test and extensive background check.
- Remote role; must reside in Tennessee.
