. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a critical role in supporting youth in state custody (DCS) and/or adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (DDA) in a supported living environment.

The Direct Support Professional provides hands‑on, day‑to‑day support to individuals in home‑ and community‑based settings. DSPs assist with daily living activities, promote independence, ensure safety, and implement individualized service or treatment plans using a trauma‑informed and person‑centered approach
.

• Support individuals with daily living skills
  , including hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Assist with community integration
  , including outings, appointments, and social activities
• Provide transportation using company vehicles (must have valid driver’s license)
• Implement behavior support plans and use de‑escalation techniques when needed
• Support youth with education, structure, and life skills development
• Document services, progress, and incidents accurately and timely
• Maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, case managers, and team members

• Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability and accountability

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
• Ability to pass background checks (required for DCS/DDA services)
• Experience working with youth, individuals with disabilities, or in human services preferred (but not required)
