Forklift Warehouse Operator 1st Shift

Position Description

Ryder is hiring Material Handlers in Jackson, Tennessee — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay: $17.25 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $25.88 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Day shift (2‑2‑3 schedule) rotating weekdays and weekends from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Maintain accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle daily paperwork: picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Team player able to work within a diverse environment.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with a good attendance record.
• Demonstrates initiative, high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Works using health and safety methods; flexible schedule on various shifts.

  Sit‑down forklifts.
