Warehouse Associate, General Labor
Purpose of Job
The Warehouse Team Member I accurately and efficiently completes assigned distribution center tasks using equipment such as RF barcode scanners, material handling equipment (electric and manual pallet jacks, stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts), WMS applications, and other shipping applications.
Responsibilities- Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
- Load and unload batteries
- Restock batteries
- Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations
- Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
- Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
- Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
- Operate a forklift and maintain a current certification
- Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
- Perform general warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
- Ability to multi‑task and quickly transition from one function/task to the next
- Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management
- Interacts professionally within the warehouse distributor team
- Interacts professionally with all other departments and team members
- Accountable for individual accuracy and commitment to learning from mistakes
- Operates with integrity and demonstrates a positive attitude
- High school graduate
- Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
- No experience required
- Experience in warehouse operations preferred—including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch‑wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment
- Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Sense of urgency and well organized
- Cooperative team‑like attitude
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs without assistance and occasionally lift up to 75lbs
- Consistent walking required during shift
- Repetitive tapping of boxes
- Overtime required as deemed necessary
Use of PPE required - Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, including moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals
