Simon & Schuster Distribution Center in Jackson, TN is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist.
Duties- Monitor inventory levels and accuracy in WM
- Audit waving shorts and reconcile any discrepancies in split case area and reserve pallet racks
- Research short ships from waving and shorts on the floor
- Cycle count as needed
- Review transitional inventory report and cycle count transitional inventory to reconcile
- Perform put‑away/empty verifications
- Work with all warehouse departments and inventory control to resolve all inventory variances
- Operate order selector as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment
- Proficient in WM, UOPS
- Proficient with RF
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours per day
- Able to follow all safety policies and procedures
- Able to effectively communicate when needed
- Overtime as needed (both voluntary and mandatory)

1st Shift - 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
