Inventory Control Specialist
Simon & Schuster’s Distribution Center in Jackson, TN is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to manage inventory and conduct audits of shipping labels among other duties.
Responsibilities- Monitor inventory levels and accuracy in WM
- Audit waving shorts and reconcile any discrepancies in split case area and reserve pallet racks
- Research short ships from waving and shorts on the floor
- Cycle count as needed
- Review Transitional Inventory report and cycle count transitional inventory to reconcile
- Perform put‑away/empty verifications
- Work with all warehouse departments and Inventory Control to resolve all inventory variances
- Operate Order Selector as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment
- Proficient in WM, UOPS
- Proficient with RF
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours/day
- Able to follow all safety policies and procedures
- Able to effectively communicate when needed
- Overtime as needed (both voluntary and mandatory)

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
