The Job:As a Distribution Center Team Leader, you’ll be part of our growing team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to manually load and unload materials, stack and wrap pallets, sort materials, and perform general labor tasks to support warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll also get to:- Assist supervisors with the schedule and issuing of work assignments. Conduct team meetings daily to delegate tasks and announce daily goals
- Ability to train others and provide guidance
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Identify problems in the warehouse inventory, conduct research to determine cause of problem while recommending next steps and necessary corrective actions
- Perform cycle counts on high dollar discrepancies, while monitoring and reconciling unknown inventory
- Assist team members in the areas of trouble shooting, research, and adjustments to correct locations / on-hand inventory balances
- Helps to develop procedures for the effective movement of inventory in the warehouse, while complying with all work instructions as determined by ISO standards.
- Communicates with wave planning concerning results of cycle counts, product information, and the movement of product if deemed necessary
- Assists in the returning of product to plant/vendor or scrapping
- Disposes of damaged product in accordance to Company Policy
- Must be able to safely operate PIV’s utilized within the department
- This position requires frequent lifting, standing for long periods of time, and walking long distances
