Superintendent, Construction

Full-Time, In-Person in Jackson, Wyoming

Compensation: $90,000–$125,000/year, based on experience

Westwood Curtis is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations and manage excavation and underground utility projects. This role is responsible for coordinating crews, ensuring quality work, and maintaining project schedules and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has strong field leadership experience and a deep understanding of excavation and utility construction.

Family-owned and operating in Jackson since 1980, Westwood Curtis builds the region's water, sewer, storm, and road infrastructure across Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage field crews of 3 to 5 employees
• Coordinate daily job site operations and work schedules
• Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and project requirements
• Oversee excavation, grading, underground utility installation, and road construction activities
• Maintain strong safety standards and enforce company safety policies
• Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors
• Monitor job progress and ensure quality workmanship

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in excavation and underground utility construction
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans
• Experience with grading, road construction, and site development
• Proven experience supervising field crews
• Strong attention to detail and leadership skills
• Medical (United Healthcare Allsavers) — 80% of employee premium covered, 70% for dependents, effective the first of the month after your start date
