The Construction Laborerisresponsibleforperforminggenerallaborerdutiesatvariousresidential ,commercial,and/orindustrialjobsitelocations,includingtheorganizationofmaterials,cleanup duties,andassistingthe
Carpenters.
Thispositionworksunderthedirectsupervisionofthe Foreman.
Responsibilities Include:
- Obtainsdailyworkinstructionsanddeterminesworktobedone.
- Retrievessuppliesandmaterialsforthe Carpenters.
- Assistswithperformingconcreteworksetupanddisassembly.
- Cutsframingmaterialsandothermaterialsusingsaws.
- Grade slumber.
- Keepsallmaterialsonprojectorganized.
- Assistsinframingduties.
- Safelysetsupstaging,scaffolding,andladders.
- Assistswithpreppingandsandingmaterialsforstaining/painting.
- Maintainsandcleansallpowertools,handtools,andotherequipment.
- Keepsjobsitetrailerandsuppliesorganized.
- Loadsandunloadsmaterialsandsuppliesfromtrucks/trailersatjobsites.
- Packsmaterialstospecificareasattheconstructionsiteasneeded.
- Performshousekeepingandkeepsworkareacleanthroughouttheprojectandremovestrashanddebris.
Will shovel,sweep,andpickupmaterialsbyhand.
Qualifications:
- Previousconstructionexperiencepreferred
- Basicunderstandingoftheresidentialbuildingconstructionprocess
- Valid driver’slicenseand/orreliabletransportationtojobsites
- Mustprovidebasichandtools;specialtytoolsandequipmentareprovidedbytheemployer
- Abilitytounderstandandfollowverbalandwritteninstructionsin English
