Overview
Our K-8 school is in need of substitute teachers for the 2025-26 school year. Substitute teachers will receive daily lesson plans and work collaboratively with full-time teachers in the lower, middle, or upper school. Substitutes should be prepared to be outside in all types of weather (boots, snow pants, rain jacket, etc.).
Responsibilities- Execute lesson plans and guide student engagement
- Maintain a dynamic, engaging, and organized classroom environment
- Support classroom routines
- Provide absent teacher with detailed notes on class and students
- Responsive to feedback
- Bachelor s Degree preferred
- Experience in a relevant field
- Ability to effectively communicate
Physical Requirements
- Bending, crouching, kneeling, crawling, sitting, standing, and movement such as walking and climbing stairs
- Outdoors in all weather, including extreme temperatures
- Time spent hiking in front- and back-country settings
This is an on-call position and is compensated at an hourly rate.
