Position Overview

Are you an experienced A&P mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA) ready to run a service shop with real independence? We are seeking an Aircraft Service Manager with 5+ years of aviation maintenance experience to lead customer service, overhaul, and repair operations.

In this pivotal role, you will bridge manufacturing, FAA compliance, and customer satisfaction-taking full ownership of service workflows while leading a talented team in a high-autonomy environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Shop Leadership:
Oversee daily service center operations, work-order scheduling, job costing, and technician assignments.
  • IA Sign-Offs:
Perform and sign off on annual inspections, major repairs, alterations, and airworthiness determinations.
  • Customer Interfacing:
Serve as the primary point of contact for aircraft owners-providing technical estimates, updates, and consultation.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain precise logbook entries, FAA Form 337s, and documentation in compliance with Part 43/91 regulations.
  • Team Mentorship:
Lead, support, and mentor shop technicians, prioritizing safety, precision, and efficiency.
  • Cross-Department

    Collaboration:

Partner with manufacturing and purchasing to source parts quickly and minimize aircraft downtime.
What You Bring
  • Certifications (Required):
Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license with Inspection Authorization (IA).
  • Experience:

5+ years of hands-on aviation maintenance, including demonstrated leadership or shop management (GA, custom aircraft, or repair station preferred).
  • Technical Mastery:
In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, sheet metal/composites, engine maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and FAA regulations.
  • Leadership:
Excellent customer-facing communication, strong problem-solving skills, and a self-directed mindset.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
