Job Summary
Edward Jones is a private financial services firm with over 9 million clients and 20,000 advisors. We are seeking a financial advisor to develop and grow a client practice, supported by branch, home‑office, and regional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Build relationships and generate new clients through face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies, including residential, business, networking, introductions, referrals, social media, and speaking engagements.
- Deeply understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs, priorities, and concerns to create personalized, comprehensive strategies that help them achieve financial goals.
- Oversee branch processes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience consistent with firm policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
- Engage the branch team to develop, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase effectiveness and achieve desired business results.
- Create a highly engaging environment in the branch that fosters mutual trust, respect, feedback, and accountability.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work‑related experience within the securities/financial services industry. - Financial services and/or sales experience.
- Financial services registration, licensing, or certification.
- Professional and/or military career progression.
- SIE (can be obtained without Firm sponsorship);
Series 7 and Series 66 will be required. - FINRA registrations required within three months of hire;
State insurance licenses also required. - Required to complete ongoing training offered by the firm and regulatory authorities (FINRA and SEC) and maintain CE training to keep licenses in good standing.
New financial advisor compensation program includes trainee pay, supplemental salary for up to five years, commissions, and compensation for new assets. Supplemental starting salary ranges from $45,000 to $100,000.
