The Town of Jackson is accepting applications for the full-time Police Department position of Community Service Officer (CSO) – Shelter Operations. Salary range $62,000 - $80,000 DOQ, full benefits. We are looking for a value-centered, team-oriented professional with a passion for animal care to join our public service team.
ResponsibilitiesPersons in this position are responsible for animal care, impounds, feeding, exercising, vaccinating, medicating, training, and socializing domestic and feral cats and dogs. Other duties include cleaning animal cages and kennels, work areas, general maintenance of entire facility and grounds, engaging with the community and individuals for adoption of abandoned and surrendered animals and associated documentation.
QualificationsAny combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge are qualifying factors for the position. Typical qualifications equivalent to:
High School graduation or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and minimal (1 yr) work experience in public service, animal health and control, or a related field.
