Job Overview

The Sales and Events Specialist will be based in Jackson, WY, and will lead and serve as a key role to several functions at The Cloudveil, enabling our team to execute groups and events effectively, provide personalized and high‑touch experiences for our VIP leisure guests, and represent our Michelin Key hotel in Jackson Hole through community partnerships. In addition, this role manages group sales for Crystal Creek Hospitality’s hotel in Boston.

Essential

Job Functions (The Cloudveil)
  • Manages lead catching and distribution for the hotel, fielding both e‑channel and phone leads, and assigning as needed
  • Works side‑by‑side with the Conference Services Manager, managing group room blocks in both CI/TY and the hotel’s property management system (rooming lists, updates, and special requests)
  • Manages local partnerships and facilitates on‑property activations in the hotel’s common spaces, providing fun, value‑added experiences for guests and the local community
  • Manages pre‑arrival reservations and arrangements for luxury consortia guests (e.g., Fine Hotels and Resorts, Chase The Edit, Luminous stays)
  • Executes bookings for live music, yoga, and other value‑added guest engagement opportunities throughout the year
  • Creates weekly events calendars for common spaces and guestrooms to help guests discover happenings in Jackson Hole during their stay
  • Serves as the primary contact for designated travel agencies, negotiates accommodations, and maintains long‑term business relationships
Boston Hotel Responsibilities
  • Excellent knowledge of hotel facilities and guestrooms
  • Develop relationships with meeting planners and community members to stay top of mind when planning meetings and events
  • Develop relationships with the Marriott Global Sales Team to communicate better throughout the negotiation process, identify needs, and capture opportunities
  • Represent both hotels at trade shows with the Marriott Global Sales Team and the Convention Bureau
  • Participate in and create FAM opportunities and site visits that benefit the hotel
  • Review RFPs and work with revenue tools and the revenue team to evaluate opportunities
  • Create proposals and contracts
  • Negotiate group agreements, concessions, and event packages within established guidelines
  • Prepare for site visits by coordinating with the onsite team to inspect rooms, provide take‑away gifts, and send site alerts to all departments
  • Conduct tours of the property with meeting planners and potential clients
  • Communicate clearly to the onsite team during turnover, providing any special hotel arrangements, billing requirements, and guest room accommodations per client requests
  • Prospect for potential business for the hotel through various reports and meeting attendee lists
  • Assist with updating collateral, PowerPoint presentations, and websites as needed
Essential Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in hotel sales, preferably at an upscale, full‑service hotel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively, handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to liaise between the hotel and client, communicating clearly both verbally and via email
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Sales aptitude, building relationships to assist with selling, upselling, and re‑booking business
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Standing, bending, stooping and lifting weights up to and including 25 lbs. may be required. The hospitality business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
