Job DetailsJob Title: Irrigation Technician
The Irrigation Technician is responsible for use, repair, and maintenance of all irrigation equipment and infrastructure on the golf course. Irrigation Technicians, under the supervision of the superintendent and assistant superintendent, are to perform routine, semi-skilled, and skilled manual labor tasks involved in golf course maintenance. Irrigation Technicians are expected to serve as team leads and perform work involving proper repair of existing pipe and wire network;
proper scheduling of irrigation applications; installation of system upgrades; and supplemental irrigation applications. Each Irrigation Technician may be assigned responsibilities for the maintenance of the golf course and management of the team and completes related work in a safe and time sensitive manner with regard to maximizing efficiency and quality. You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements.
Be knowledgeable of the company’s Envision management systems, policies and initiatives for Quality, Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety. You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them.

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and repair irrigation system.
- Monitors and regulates all irrigation channels, ditches, pond levels, and culverts where irrigation infrastructure crosses roads and pathways to ensure proper flows at all times.
- Assists in irrigation scheduling and application to maintain firm and fast playing conditions in addition to turf health.
- Routinely inspects irrigation system components to ensure proper rotor and satellite controller performance.
- Maintains irrigation parts inventory, work record, and record pump station statistics on a daily basis.
- Applies supplemental irrigation by means of existing heads or hoses to any areas on golf course requiring additional care.
- Operates and programs Rainbird Cirrus central computer system as required.
- Assists year-round managers in management and training of seasonal staff and fills in as admin for department when needed.
- Leads construction and irrigation projects under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
- Maintains all golf course grounds with great attention to detail and assists in work inspections.
- Operates equipment used in the maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, surrounds, sand bunkers, native areas, waterways, and common areas.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent.
Job Requirements:
- Vocational training or comparable work experience in irrigation system operation and maintenance of Rainbird irrigation products.
- Valid drivers license, successful completion of MVR
