Overview

Starting Hourly Rate: $26.25 USD per hour.

The Human Resources Expert supports teams and leaders to build a sales force passionate about exceeding guests’ expectations. This role provides a diverse set of responsibilities that support Target’s mission and values.

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:
  • Greet: 10ft – be friendly, smile, make eye contact, or wave
  • 4ft – greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction
  • Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
  • End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
  • Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
  • Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address specific talent and staffing needs for each area of the business, ensuring the right mix of experience and skills for in‑store and digital shopping experiences.
• Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates.
• Support team member and leader training needs and advocate for continuous learning.
• Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
• Be approachable and available by listening to team members and collaborating with appropriate leaders to take action as needed.
• Deliver all Human Resources processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption.
• Support your leader in following company compliance policies to mitigate risk to the team member experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi‑step processes.
• Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment while accomplishing multiple tasks within established time frames.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Frequent lifting or moving merchandise up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without additional assistance.
• Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties (e.g., Drive‑Up, carry‑out).
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift; shift length may vary.
• Flexible to work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks.
