$31 – $35/hour Hiring Range DOQ Full Benefits Non-Exempt

The Town of Jackson is seeking a qualified, motivated professional to serve the community as a Facilities Assistant with a focus on START facilities. Primary duties: inspecting, repairing, and maintaining structures, mechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural) and appliances at the START facility/fleet maintenance center as well as bus stops, shelters, and transit centers; maintaining equipment at bus storage facilities and wash bay;

and snow removal operations at these facilities. Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.

• A positive attitude and public service orientation.
• High School graduation or equivalent.
• Preference for experience with HVAC, large commercial building maintenance, and any licensing or certifications in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
• Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 2 months.
• Experience with snow removal operations
