Position: Truck Driver I

About the Role

We are looking for a Branch Driver to join our PLATT team in Jackson, WY. The Truck Driver I is responsible for delivering products to and from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and company suppliers in a delivery van or box truck (CDL not required). The role requires ensuring deliveries meet customer requirements efficiently, verifying materials, and completing all required documentation at each stop.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects; complete a daily inspection report.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, service, and condition; notify supervisor of required repairs.
  • Follow Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). local, and state driving laws and regulations.
  • Load or unload vehicles, ensuring all material for each order is accurate and undamaged before departure.
  • Assist in preparing orders for delivery when needed.
  • Complete delivery documentation, including signed delivery receipts, packing lists, and branch/warehouse manifests.
  • Inspect returned materials from customers, verifying condition, quantity, and catalog numbers.
  • Pick up materials from company suppliers.
  • Perform additional branch duties as requested, such as counter sales, order preparation, receiving, stocking, staging, shipping, and equipment maintenance.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Attend company driver training (in lieu of experience).
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Pass a pre‑employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review.
  • Obtain a non‑expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
  • Have no suspended driver’s license for a traffic accident/violation within the past three years.
  • Have no at‑fault accidents in the past three years.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Handle loads with a combined weight not exceeding 26,000 GVW.
  • Resolve basic issues and problems.
  • Understand and apply safety regulations and traffic laws.
  • Adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
  • Manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Provide excellent customer service and attention to detail.
  • Work overtime as needed.

  • Sit:
    Remain stationary at least 51% of work time.
  • Walk:
    Move inside/outside office or work location occasionally up to 20%.
  • Use hands:
    Operate computer and other office machinery constantly 51%.
  • Stoop/Kneel/Crouch:
